Refugee and emergency shelters are normally bulk-sale products, not routine commercial event rentals. The buyer distributes or prepositions the units, so repeatable production, compact packing, traceability, spare components and destination logistics are central to the offer.

UNHCR’s published family-tent specification describes a short-term emergency shelter benchmark. It is useful for understanding procurement detail, but it is not permission for a manufacturer to claim UNHCR approval.

Qualification notice: Al Mumtaz Tents will only describe an offered model as compliant with or approved by a named humanitarian agency when that exact model, materials and production route have completed the agency’s applicable laboratory qualification, inspection and procurement requirements. “UN-style” is not the same as “UNHCR approved.”

Both descriptions appear in UAE procurement enquiries, but they are not automatically the same product. The controlling tender document, latest revision and required laboratory methods must be identified before quoting.

Why this matters: PVC weight, reflective-insulation performance and exact pipe dimensions are product-specific—not universal UNHCR requirements. They should appear in a tender response only when Al Mumtaz can manufacture the approved design and provide matching evidence for the actual materials offered.
